NDI New Mexico teaches children excellence through the dynamic discipline of dance. They are one of the largest organizations serving youth in New Mexico and their programs address critical youth development needs. NDI New Mexico teaches that teamwork, tenacity, discipline and joyful effort can equal success…that hard work and an uncompromising standard of excellence results in a genuine sense of achievement and self-respect that can change the life of a child – any child.
The Santa Fe Opera’s mission is to advance the operatic art form by presenting ensemble performances of the highest quality in a unique setting with a varied repertoire of new, rarely performed, and standard works; to ensure the excellence of opera’s future through apprentice programs for singers, technicians and arts administrators; and to foster and enrich an understanding and appreciation of opera among a diverse public.
The Santa Fe Animal Shelter is the largest animal shelter and care facility in northern New Mexico. They serve more than 5,500 lost, stray, abandoned or injured animals and offer services to more than 20,000 companion animals and their guardians each year
Leadership Santa Fe is a program designed to enhance leadership resources for the community of Santa Fe. Their vision is to engage and develop diverse and effective leaders for the future of the community. They accomplish this by giving civic-minded people a vehicle for their communityoriented energies, and providing access to community leaders and policy makers in our adult program, and our youth leadership program
Founded in 1980 by Thomas O’Connor (Music Director and Conductor) and Carol Redman (Associate Artistic Director and Principal Flute), Santa Fe Pro Musica offers a variety of classical music programs in historic Santa Fe venues, and presents professional musical performances for orchestra, string quartet, chamber ensemble, and performances on baroque instruments. The Santa Fe Pro Musica orchestra has been internationally recognized with a 2008 GRAMMY® nomination for Best Classical Album/Small Ensemble for its recording, in collaboration with the Smithsonian Chamber Players, of Gustav Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde/The Song of the Earth.
Now in our 33rd season, The Symphony is a bold and successful collaboration between musicians and all who appreciate live performance. Our legacy of musical excellence goes hand-in-hand with our longstanding commitment to providing no-cost cultural outreach programs for the greater Santa Fe community. These initiatives include free concerts at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi, a variety of music education performances, and mentoring within the public schools, and performances at retirement homes and senior centers.
Today—when performances by international artists are immediately available through the Internet, telephones, television, radio, and myriad other sources—it is hard to appreciate just what an exceptional and treasured experience a 1937 live performance by a world-famous artist could be for Santa Fe residents.
Since it was founded in 1972, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival has become one of the world’s preeminent music festivals, guided by a visionary spirit and dedicated to artistic excellence and innovation. Contributing to its magic is the Festival’s unique Santa Fe setting, nestled amid the timeless splendors of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
